The Imada DTX series digital torque transducers are excellent bench-mounted instruments for torque measurement, easy to use, with high acquisition speed (2kHz), high sensitivity and excellent precision. Easily transportable, they can be used both in the laboratory but also in the production line. If installed on the MTS series of stands, they can form an economic torque control system with motorized speed control, ideal for guaranteeing uniformity of results even with different operators and the possibility of performing durability tests that are impossible to achieve by hand.

Design
Characterized by a minimal design, these new torque meters have been redesigned to offer solidity and manageability. Made with a robust casing in die-cast aluminum and painted in fire, they are resistant to impacts and impermeable, with the upper shaped body for the collection of liquids. Under the bottle loading plate, flush with the hole, a thrust ball bearing neutralizes the possible pushing force of the operator, isolating the torque transducer below which remains sensitive to the rotation that occurs "on the horizontal plane".
Memory and data outputs
Internal non-volatile memory, with the possibility of recording up to 1000 numeric values that can be recalled on the display or with data transmission on a PC or a Mitutoyo printer with report. The instrument is supplied as standard with USB data outputs, RS232C, Mitutoyo digimatic, 2 VDC analog output (D / A), 3-threshold comparator (-NG / OK / + NG). The advanced DTXA model also allows the connection of a USB pendrive for recording measurements directly inside (the sampling frequency is selectable: 100Hz, 50Hz or 1Hz).
Tare and overload protection
The instrument allows the values to be reset by pressing a key (up to 10% of the flow) and automatic zeroing at adjustable intervals (from 1 to 25 seconds). It is also designed with an overload resistance of up to 200% of full scale without damage. The instrument flashes with a special LED light of over 110% of the flow and, if connected to the MTS series, in case of overload it sends a stop signal to the stand.
Display and functions
A large electroluminescent digital display also visible in the dark shows the reading of the values in real time or the still image on the maximum value reached, if the peak function is set. The display can be customized at the discretion of the operator who can choose which functions to display at the top and bottom of the screen. The high sampling rate and data acquisition rate (2000 data / sec) allows very rapid measurements to be measured with great accuracy. The display is updated 16 times per second and can indicate the direction of the vector, the unit of measurement, the function of recording the peak (1st and 2nd in the DTXA), the value of the angle (if the DTXA is connected with an MTS Imada stand), battery status, as well as date and time. A robust and simple membrane keyboard allows you to set and adjust all the functions of the instrument such as the tare, the unit of measure, the control limits, the memorization of a value, the activation of the peak recording function, data transmission, sampling filter, acoustic warnings, etc…
Handles, anchor holes, plates and pins
The compact dimensions and the grab handles it is equipped with make it extremely manageable and easy to transport, for use on multiple production lines. The handles are removable and the four holes allow you to firmly anchor the chassis on a table to perform tests with the stable instrument.
The torque transducers are equipped as standard with a standard aluminum plate to test specimens with Ø shapes ranging from 20 ~ 160mm. The fixing pins are easily adjustable to adapt to any particular. The plate is equipped with rail guides with holes to insert the support pins in different positions. The movement of the rails to block the sample is by screw tightening with a monopole. On request are available pins with increased height, to block specimens that require a firmer grip. As an alternative to the standard plate it is possible to order the reduced version of the plate, model DT-ST, ideal for housing small specimens such as vials (Ø 7 ~ 50mm).
Free ZT-Logger software
Free software to download data to your PC. Through the USB connection, the software transfers 10 data per second. to the PC allowing to save them in a CSV format. Furthermore, all internal memories of a dynamometer can be recalled on the PC at once and the corresponding statistical values can be calculated. Measurement efficiency can be improved by setting the dynamometer functions directly from the computer.
