Description

Digital Tester designed to automate the tear testing processes of crimped, crimped, welded or glued cable lugs.

Compliant with numerous standards, the ACT-1000N can perform destructive tests (Break mode) but also non-destructive tests (Keep mode) in which it is necessary to pull up to a certain load or maintain a force for a defined period of time.

It is supplied complete with two gripping devices, a clamp with volute clamping, ideal for a quick locking of the specimen, and a revolver made with a rotating drum with housing slots for cable lugs or faston terminals with widths of 1, 1.5, 2 mm. , 2.5, 3, 3.5, 4, 4.5, 6, 7, 8. The instrument has a motorized drive with horizontal stroke of 50 mm.

Under the slide there is a worm screw which moves on ball bearings. The rotation of the screw drags the mobile carriage with a constant movement which is controlled by a motor whose speed can be adjusted via the control panel. In the front part of the instrument there are the display, the operating commands and the emergency button.

The tester is equipped with a large high-brightness digital display (visible even in the dark) and an easy-to-use control console with which to set the tolerance thresholds and as many as 26 types of different test configurations that can be recalled, depending on the need, to speed up the control process.

The instrument is equipped with an internal measurement sensor and gripping devices designed to speed up the insertion of the sample and the removal of residues after the test. The revolver can accommodate cables up to 8 mm in size but customized solutions can be made upon request.

It is possible to recall the pre-configured test and start the test at the push of a button. When the sample is broken, the tester will automatically return to the starting position and will indicate on the display the value of the force, of the time and if the test was good or to be rejected (OK / NG).

Data management

The instrument can store up to 1,500 data internally or can transfer them to a PC (or other data logger) via USB, RS-232, Mitutoyo (Digimatic) or analogue outputs.

Through the data acquisition software supplied, up to 60,000 data can be stored on the PC.

The saved data contains the peak force values, the OK / NG judgments, the date and time, the statistics and configurations of the tests created, such as the name of the test, the test mode (Break / Keep), the speed, the set force and the chosen duration. These values can be modified directly from the PC using the software which will automatically update them on the instrument.

The data can be printed or exported to CSV spreadsheets to allow further data processing
